Dye-sensitized perovskite/organic semiconductor ternary transistors for artificial synapses

Artificial intelligence (AI) is attractive due to its brain-like working pattern and efficient task processing. Light-stimulated synaptic devices show enormous potential in the field of neuromorphic computing. Here, we develop a kind optical with ternary photoactive material system consisting organometal halide perovskite CH3NH3-PbBr3, organic dye Rhodamine B (RhB), semiconductor pentacene. We found that introduction RhB can significantly improve light absorption photo-responsivity composite devices. The exhibit acceptable behaviors realize learning toward various input signals. Notably, respond signals low intensity 1.1 µW cm?2 be operated at voltages. achieve energy consumption 1.25 fJ drain-source voltage ?50 µV, comparable biological event. Moreover, simulate self-learning process, indicating their improved efficiency. Also, recognize subtle differences Morse codes, showing practical application information encryption. excellent optoelectronic performance demonstrates proposed are advantageous developing new AI.
